Mix your chosen Warpaints with Mixing Medium to reduce paint layer opacity. This will allow you to gradually build up layers of colour for highlights while maintaining perfect control over transitions and pigment distribution.

CHANGE TONES AND REDUCE CONTRAST WITH COLOUR FILTERS:

With the Warpaints Mixing Medium you can create translucent paint layers that allow paint layers underneath to show through the coat. You can use this to tint surfaces and change overall tones and values of your colours without starting from scratch, and you can tie overly contrasted layers together by applying a translucent mid-tone.
